Isla Mágica has confirmed the appointment of its new Chief Executive Office, Alejandro del Barrio Barruso.
Del Barrio Barruso takes the reigns of the Spanish theme park in Sevilla in the midst of a transformational period with a new wooden roller coaster and two new swimming pools at its Agua Mágica, water park becoming operational in 2026.
“We are pleased to announce the appointment of Alejandro Del Barrio Barruso as new Chief Executive Officer of Isla Mágica,” confirmed a press statement by the Looping Group
Del Barrio Barruso is an experienced figure in the leisure industry world with 14 years under his belt. His previous job role was Head of Operations at Parque de Atracciones in Madrid.
Meanwhile, his CV takes in roles at Parque Warner Madrid and Parque Warner Beach.
Del Barrio Barruso also is key figure in the growth projects of the Parques Reunidos group connected to Dubai.
His predecessor is Guillermo Cruz García, who leaves after twelve years as General Manager of Isla Mágica. Cruz García will now focus on strategic tasks within the Looping Group with links to the Spanish theme park.
