Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is set to enhance its Wisconsin Dells location with a significant $85 million investment, introducing a 75,000-square-foot indoor waterpark expansion scheduled to open in Fall 2026. This development aims to solidify the resort’s status as a premier year-round destination for family entertainment.
The expansion will feature a glass-enclosed, open-air waterpark equipped with a retractable roof, allowing guests to enjoy natural light and fresh air during favorable weather conditions. Key attractions include three new water slides:
- Wild Wildebeest: A six-person raft slide extending beyond the building’s envelope, offering a unique outdoor experience.
- Green Python: A six-person raft slide combining tight-turning coils with an uphill water coaster section.
- Cheetah Mat Racers: A four-lane racing slide designed for competitive fun.
Additional amenities will encompass the Lost Lagoon Spa Pool, the Watering Hole Pool with zero-depth entry and tanning ledges, the Coral Cove Kiddie Slide Pool, and The Grotto adult swim-up bar. Guests can also look forward to enhanced seating options, including new cabanas and whirlpool cabanas, as well as expanded food and beverage offerings.
The project is a collaborative effort involving Martin Aquatic, responsible for site layout and engineering; WhiteWater, providing innovative water attractions; and OpenAire, designing the retractable roof structure. This partnership aims to deliver a state-of-the-art aquatic experience that caters to guests of all ages.
