A new water park and entertainment complex in Mobile, Alabama is in the pipeline with Leisure, Sports and Recreation behind plans to transform a 90-acre site in south Mobile.

“It is quite ambitious, but we believe Mobile is ready for it and worthy of creating a tourism destination like this,” said Leisure Sports and Recreation CEO Glenn Haggerty.

Tentatively known as Jubilee Park, the water park would house a 20-acre outdoor water park, a 15,000-square-foot indoor water park, entertainment stage and zip line course. Meanwhile, an indoor multi-use centre would cater sports and wellness purposes.

Jubilee Park would become a focal point of eateries and accommodation stays with a selection of food outlets and accommodation areas.

It is estimated that the site could be operational in two years’ time with the water park arriving during the first quarter of 2029.
