The World Waterpark Association Show in Las Vegas celebrated the best of innovation in the water parks industry. And ProSlide projects has been acknowledged with two WWA Leading Edge Awards for their work with Mega Mayhem at Rapids Waterpark as well as El Dorado Water Park.
“The WWA Leading Edge Awards recognise the hard work, creativity, and performance engineering that goes into developing exceptional water attractions,” explains Phil Hayles, ProSlide vice president, business development and strategic accounts.
“This honour reflects our commitment to innovation and the strong partnerships we’ve built, which are essential in bringing projects like Mega Mayhem and The Water Temple to life.”
Located in Riviera Beach, Florida, Rapids Waterpark introduced its first-ever water coaster, Mega Mayhem, in April 2024. The Dueling RocketBLAST™ features four FlyingSAUCER 20s, three uphill blast sections, and 837 feet (255 meters) of high-speed racing.
As the park’s longest ride, it offers guests an exciting experience with its steep inclines, energy efficiency, and capacity for 720 riders per hour.
“We’re proud to have worked with Premier Parks, Cogito Automation, and Fiberglass Systems to bring this innovative attraction to life,” stated ProSlide.
In addition, El Dorado Water Park in the Caribbean has also earned recognition for its lineup of attractions, solely provided by ProSlide. Opening in May 2024, Phase 1 includes a TORNADO 60, BehemothBOWL 60, ProRACER, three PIPElines, a KIDZ Zone, and a wave pool.
Each ride is seamlessly integrated into the park’s tropical landscape, creating a one-of-a-kind experience for all ages.
“We’re delighted to have partnered with Vanstone and ADG to realise this vision,” added ProSlide.
“We’re deeply honoured to receive these awards in partnership with Rapids and El Dorado. We extend our gratitude to our partners and teams for making these projects truly extraordinary!”
