SimEx-Iwerks, a global leader in immersive cinematic attractions, has announced the launch of a new nature-based product line designed to bring families closer to the natural world through elevated outdoor experiences.
This expansion marks an exciting addition to the companyʼs family entertainment portfolio.
To lead this initiative, SimEx-Iwerks welcomes Gerhard Komenda as Director of Nature Attractions. With over two decades of experience in designing and building acclaimed outdoor experiences,
Komenda brings a deep expertise in eco conscious construction, natural materials, and guest-centred adventure design. His work features in over 100 projects and has redefined how guests connect with nature.
SimEx-Iwerks has worked with Gerhard for many years including the design and installation of Arial Adventure Parks at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park and Bronx Zoo, and the award-winning Nature Trek at the Bronx Zoo.
