The wait is over: Skyride has returned to fly at Alton Towers.
Skyride has undergone massive refurbishment of its operations and ride gondolas, taking three years and a ‘multi-million-pound investment.’
The gondola takes to the skies once more to transport guests in and around Alton Towers.
Skyride stations can be found on Towers Street, In the Forbidden Valley and in Cloud Cuckoo Land.
A journey from Towers Street to Forbidden Valley takes two and a half minutes while a trip between Forbidden Valley and the Dark Forest takes three and a half minutes.
The gondolas of dangle hundreds of feet above the ground giving a spectacular view of the rides and stately garden in which Alton Towers offers.
“It is time to take to the skies,” a spokesperson for Alton Towers stated.
“Skyride has officially reopened. Get ready to enjoy the stunning views from above and experience this iconic ride once again. Our experts have been working hard to create a truly magical experience.”
