Academy Award-winning director Takashi Yamazaki, acclaimed for Godzilla Minus One, is set to lead the development of a new Godzilla-themed ride attraction in collaboration with Toho International. Yamazaki will oversee the writing, direction, and visual effects production for this upcoming experience, slated to debut in summer 2025.

The attraction will be distributed to various locations worldwide through the iRide system, developed by Taiwan-based Brogent Technologies, Inc. This system enables immersive motion-based experiences, allowing guests to engage with the King of the Monsters in innovative ways.

Yamazaki previously directed Godzilla the Ride: Giant Monsters Ultimate Battle, currently featured at Seibuen Amusement Park in Tokorozawa, Japan. The ride has received global acclaim for its quality and scale, consistently achieving high audience satisfaction rates.

Expressing his enthusiasm, Yamazaki stated, “I’m thrilled to return to Godzilla’s world from the passenger seat. What powerful foes will emerge? Where will this ride take us next? As a ride enthusiast myself, I can’t wait for my first spin—and I’m working day and night with our team to make this the most terrifying ride in the world.”

While specific details about the new attraction remain under wraps, the project aims to surpass the scope and scale of the original experience, offering fans an unparalleled encounter with Godzilla.

Further information regarding participating venues and launch dates will be announced as the project progresses.
