After eight years of construction and anticipation, Universal Epic Universe has officially opened its land of discovery in Orlando. And its majestic in every sense.
The $7bn Epic Universe covers 750-acre and under the stewardship of NBCUniversal, which in turn, is overseen by Comcast.
Subsequently, one of the most eagerly awaiting theme parks is now open for operation and its celebratory blue carpet ceremony was truly epic.
Now, on 22 May, visitors from across the world can transport themselves into a new world, or five in this case. All ready for your immersive pleasure are The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic, Super Nintendo World, How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk, Dark Universe and Celestial Park.
“Universal Epic Universe changes everything. Explore astounding worlds beyond anything you’ve experienced before. Five immersive worlds. One amazing theme park,” describes Epic Universal.
Five fantastic worlds to live out your fantasies
In The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic, fans of the famous franchise will be able to “explore international wizarding communities and the magic that connects them in.” From 1920s Paris to the 1990s British Ministry, visitors can fully immerse themselves in all its magical glory.
Furthermore, fans of the Mario Bros will be able to take a nostalgic leap and say “Let’s go!” entering Super Nintendo World, where visitors will venture into the famous video game franchise and challenge Bowser on the Mario Kart ride to ramble through Donkey Kong Country and ride the out-of-control jumping track coaster that is Mine Cart Madness.
Inside the world of How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk, visitors will fly with dragons exploring the vibrant Viking village.
Meanwhile, Dark Universe is a “world of myth and mystery” thanks to the infamous experiments of Dr. Victoria Frankenstein where monsters lie in wait…
Finally, at Celestial Park, visitors can voyage through spectacular greenery serving up entertainment, dining and shopping experiences.
Huge visitor numbers expected
