A Universal Studios in United Kingdom is ever more likely with negotiations moving smoothly towards a positive conclusion.

The 500-acre former brickworks site near Bedford has been earmarked for what would be Europeโ€™s largest theme park.

Talks overseen by Comcast, which owns Universal, remain ongoing but an announcement is possible as early as next week. Comcast has acquired the land but fine details of the deal are still to be ironed out.

Once the project receives the green light, construction is expected to last six years towards a 2031 opening.

The reality of a Universal Studios in the United Kingdom would boost tourism to the tune of ยฃ50bn during its first twenty years according to Universal Destinations & Experiences.

The theme park would create more than 20,000 jobs and boost the development of the area, including the East-West Rail route and an expansion of Luton Airport.

The arrival of Universal Studios to domestic shored would boast the leisure industry with its popular parks across the world attracting millions of visitors every year.
