A Universal Studios in India is in the pipeline with a scheduled opening in 2027.
Universal Studios is working in partnership with Bharti Real Estate in creating India’s first indoor amusement park.
The location of which would be a 3-million-square-foot retail development near Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport.
10 per cent of the commercial centre’s retail space is in place for the attractions park.
Tourism Development in India
Bharti Real Estate is currently creating a 17-million-square-foot Aerocity tourism development, set to become the biggest in India
Currently, 6.5 million sq.ft is under construction as tourism booms in the country.
It is expected that 11 million square feet of entertainment facilities will be in place come 2028 – almost double of what there is at present.
India’s entertainment world provides mostly arcade and gaming zones, however new experiences such as trampoline parks, virtual reality arenas, and immersive storytelling environments is piquing interest.
Confirmation of Universal Studios in India is due soon which would transform the country’s entertainment landscape dramatically.
