Zoo Berlin is offering guided tours in electric vehicles (e-mobiles) for up to six guests.
The revolutionary initiative comes with a personal guide offering in-depth information about the animals and driver. These 90-minute tours cover the zoo in a converted golf cart, include a behind-the-scenes look at the zoo.
The tours are available in both English and German respectively with guests able to book the e-mobile tours through the Zoo’s website.
In addition, Berlin Zoo will utilise its electric vehicles for staff purposes with a commitment to sustainability.
These tasks include using the electric vehicles towards the general maintenance and cleaning of the zoo, the transportation of food and feed to different animal enclosures and the reduction of noise and emissions through using electric vehicles aiding a quieter environment for both animals and visitors.
