After a 16-month wait, Nemesis has returned with a vengeance to thrill guests as the updated Nemesis Reborn opened to the public once again at Alton Towers.

A huge number of excited guests lined the park’s ride mammoth four-hour queue in anticipation of riding Alton Towers’ flagship suspended coaster once more.

The ride has been given a necessary makeover with essential track maintenance and added special effects such as a huge giant eye to give riders a true modern-day experience.

An updated queue line featuring further info into the backstory of Nemesis as well as a helicopter and decorations adorned with links to the ride’s principal developer John Wardley can be found in a poignant nod to the 30-year history of the much beloved Nemesis ride.

There was a significant buzz on the opening day and Nemesis Reborn duly delivered its dose of adrenaline for a frenzied fanbase.
