Ocean Park in Hong Kong has announced a new pricing structure that will take effect on January 1, 2016, with a two-month grace period for local residents.

Under the new pricing structure, daytime admission ticket for adults and children will be HK$385 (US$50) and HK$193 (US$25), respectively, amounting to an increase of HK$40 (US$5) and HK$20 (US$2.50).

Leo Kung, chairman of Ocean Park, said: “The board of directors and management have worked hard to minimise the price adjustment, which is driven by the need to provide financial support for increasing operating expenses, necessary capital investments to enhance guest experience, and ongoing debt servicing obligations.

“As a self-financing, not-for-profit organisation, our pricing must be sustainable for our operation and growth while remaining competitive against comparable world-class facilities.”
