Following a successful run at locations in the USA, Asia and Australia, an interactive attracton dedicated to Marvel’s Avengers is coming to the UK.
Created by the MJR Group, Marvel’s Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N. will open at ExCel on November 30 as the venue’s operators strive to expand beyond their core business of exhibitions and trade shows. The experience previously spent periods in New York, Seoul, Paris, Singapore, Beijing, Taipei, Las Vegas and Melbourne, where it entertained a combined audience of over 400,000.
In London, visitors to Excel will get to step inside the popular films and become part of the Marvel Universe, with feature areas including Thor’s Observatory, Iron Man’s Engineering Bay and Bruce Banner’s Lab. And they will be able to delve into the backstory of each of The Avengers as they train to become an agent of the S.T.A.T.I.O.N.
The venue has plans to create new attractions along Royal Victoria Dock and is already in discussion with a number of content owners, each of whom has the potential to bring globally recognised brands to ExCeL. From next year, event organisers will benefit from Elizabeth line connections, which will offer the ability to transport thousands of visitors from central London within 15-minutes.
“We are delighted to be working with The MJR Group who, in partnership with Victory Hill Entertainment and Disney’s Marvel Studio, will bring Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N to London,” says Excel London CEO Jeremy Rees.
The attraction will operate at the exhibition centre in London’s Docklands until the end of March 2019.
