The Shandong Jinan Province of China recently announced it was planning on working on several “key projects” in 2019. The projects include the OCT’s Xiuyuan River resort.
The total investment of the Overseas Chinese Town Enterprise’s (OCT) Xiuyuan River resort is around 50billion yuan.
The project is aimed at developing “ecology, culture, tourism and integration.” The site covers 70 sq-km on the banks of Xiuyuan River, which is being developed into a world-class waterfront cultural tourism resort, comprising of urban leisure, ecological living and themed attractions.
The development planning for the resort includes three distinct elements – the Xiuyuan River resort, a riverside development belt and seven areas, including a north station, hot spring area, a western area, lake life area, the city, a technology and leisure area and themed attractions.
The Jinan OCT project is still under construction. The OCT Cultural Centre will be completed by the end of 2019 and is due to open in the first half of 2020.
Construction of the OCT Courtyard Resort and Commercial Street projects will begin by the end of the year.
