A new 50-acre outdoor waterpark is coming to the city of Sevierville, East Tennessee. The Soaky Mountain Waterpark will be located near the Sevierville Convention Center and Wilderness at the Smokies Resort in Sevierville.
The waterpark will feature a 35,000 square foot wave pool, with the ability to create waves up to six feet high, a 24,000 square foot wave river, a children’s play area with multiple slides, a child-friendly activity pool, an adventure pool with an inflatable water obstacle course, a cabana pool designed for relaxing, a double FlowRider surf stimulator and four large slide complexes.
Other key features of the new Sevierville waterpark include a water coaster, a family tower ride with raft rides, a tubing tower with five flumes, two high intensity body slides and a head-first racing mat with four lanes.
Heidi Fendos, a spokesperson for Wilderness at the Smokies Resort, spoke about the opening of the new site.
“It will be dependent on the weather this year as to whether or not we can open in 2020.”
