The Land of Oz theme park in North Carolina is opening this week. The amusement site takes visitors on an interactive journey with Dorothy and her friends.
The opening of the park coincides with the 80th anniversary since the much-loved Wizard of Oz musical was released in 1939.
The Land of Oz will see Dorothy take guests down the Yellow Brick Road through the magical land of Oz in search of the Wizard.
This year’s Autumn of Oz Festival will take place at Land of Oz. This two-week event is one of the largest Wizard of Oz events in the world and gives visitors the chance to meet the story’s adored characters, including TinMan, Scarecrow and the Lion.
Pony rides, a petting zoo, craft vendors, face painting and a Land of Oz exhibition will also feature at the Autumn of Oz event.
Autumn of Oz is being held from September 6 – 8 and 13 – 15.
