Six Flags Entertainment Corporation, the world's largest regional theme park company, has become the recipient of the first ever Texas Travel Industry Association (TTIA) Heritage Award.

Jim Reid-Anderson, chairman, president and CEO of Six Flags, accepted the award at the Texas Travel Summit in October.

Based in Grand Prarie, Texas, Six Flags operates three parks in the Lone Star State: Six Flags Over Texas, its flagship location in Arlington; Hurricane Harbor, a 47-acre water park also in Arlington; and Six Flags Fiesta Texas, located in San Antonio.

"We believe Angus Wynne Junior would be very proud of the company that he founded some 54 years ago," said Reid-Anderson. "Our team members are committed to carrying on his legacy of family fun and thrills for all ages."
