Six Flags Hurricane Harbor resorts are to reopen this spring. The waterparks will have strict health and safety measures in place, including advance ticket purchasing, social distancing, temperature checks and mobile food ordering.

In Rockford, Illinois, Six Flags Hurricane Resort is set to reopen on May 29. New to this season at the waterpark is the “Tidal Wave” tailspin waterslide. The attraction is the first and only tailspin waterslide in the Midwest. There will also be additional tropical-themed elements located throughout the resort.

In Jackson Township, New Jersey, Six Flags Hurricane Harbor will host a special spring preview event on Memorial Day weekend before reopening as normal on June 18. Hurricane Harbor’s new addition, Calypso Springs, features a 100,000-gallon family activity pool, quick-service dining and a huge deck for sunbathing and relaxing.

The Illinois waterpark is home to more than 30 waterslides, including the Tornado, Big Wave Racer and Juhranimo Falls, a colossal, million-galloon wave pool, two interactive family water play areas and a half-mile lazy river.
