‘A new formula for thrills’ is being promised at Cedar Point in Ohio.

This is in light of the park announcing that its long standing gigacoaster of Top Thrill Dragster is to reopen in 2024 reimagined and repackaged.

Work is currently apace to give the hydraulic-launched coaster a makeover with it station and track area removed.

Top Thrill Dragster opened in May 2003 and during its near 20-year stint, the Intamin built ride has been a success with its Formula One meets Dragster themed attraction.

Sadly, with the passing of time, the ride has suffered with wear and tear to the point some malfunctions have occurred.

Due to safety reasons, this has led to Cedar Point making the decision to reinvigorate the ride and an extensive remodelling is underway.

Cedar Point remain tight lipped about the exact nature of its new ride or whether the ride will be renamed.

Further details will emerge as the countdown is on to the next version of the Top Thrill Dragster.
