Greenland Theme Park in Arao, Kumamoto Prefecture, Japan, has introduced two new attractions as part of its preparations for its 60th anniversary in 2026. The additions include a larger replacement Wave Swinger ride and a new walk-through attraction called “Gold Hunters.”
The new Wave Swinger, which opened earlier this spring, offers an enhanced experience for visitors, replacing the previous version with a larger and more modern design. The “Gold Hunters” attraction provides guests with an immersive adventure, featuring a series of themed areas such as the Hall of Strong Winds, the Bridge of the Abyss, and the Mirror Maze, culminating in the Golden Hall where treasure is hidden.
These developments are part of Greenland’s broader strategy to refresh its offerings and enhance the guest experience. The park has also announced plans for a major new attraction to coincide with its 60th anniversary in 2026, although specific details have yet to be disclosed.
Greenland Theme Park, known for its diverse range of attractions including the Milky Way dueling coaster and the Dinosaur Coaster, continues to invest in new experiences to attract visitors and maintain its status as a leading amusement destination in the region.
