PortAventura has opened its latest exciting attraction of Unchartered: The Enigma of Penitence.

PortAventura World’s new ride is based on the universe of Uncharted, the Sony Pictures film starring Tom Holland.

The roller-coaster dark ride opened recently on 17 June including exciting elements of hairpin turns, revolving platforms, and animation. Uncharted features 5 launches with up to 1 g acceleration.

The ride is situated in the park’s Far West-themed area and covers 673-meters (2,208ft) as riders “search of the lost Aztec gold”

PortAventura has worked together with Sony Pictures through a licensing agreement in creating a unique dark ride roller coaster.

Riders will be on the hunt for “one of the greatest treasures never found” and “experience a new type of adrenaline, and you will live an adventure in which everything is possible.”

Unchartered comes fit with a pre-show which Port Aventura state has “full of surprises that, in addition to setting off the chain of events, will turn this treasure hunt into a completely immersive adventure.”
