WhiteWater, supplier of the world’s leading waterparks with innovative and exciting slides, rides and attractions, has announced the appointment of Philip Edgell as president of Vantage, the firm’s pioneering guest engagement platform.

Edgell is a leading name and credible figure in Canada’s tech industry. His most recent position was global vice president of Hootsuite, where he helped drive revenue to the world’s largest social media management platform.

Before joining Hootsuite, Philip Edgell was executive vice president of operations at the information and technology services and solutions company, Long View Systems, where he was responsible for the organisation’s performance in North America and Europe.

Launched in 2018, Vantage is dedicated at bringing progressive technology innovation to the attractions industry. Thanks to Vantage, waterpark operators can have a single overview of how every component of a park interconnects, highlighting vital park metrics and integrating data silos.

Island H20 live! has already integrated Vantage into its attractions, eateries, retail outlets and more, as a means of providing guests with a more seamless and personalised in-park experience.

Having a proven track-record in scaling brands and tech products to success and translating business insights into successful strategies, Philip Edgell was the obvious candidate to help Vantage deliver and maintain strong performance and growth.

As Geoff Chutter, president and CEO of WhiteWater, said:

“We are extremely happy to have someone with Phil’s impressive experience on board. He is the technology leader needed to ensure that the potential of Vantage is delivered rapidly to market, establishing Vantage as the originator of truly integrated, cutting-edge parks of the future.”
