The first ever flying theatre at a Legoland park will be one of three rides featured in the new Lego Movie World, which opens early next spring at Legoland Florida Resort.

“We’ve been hard at work, building brick-by-brick, to create state-of-the-art experiences that bring The Lego Movie to life,” says Legoland Florida Resort general manager, Rex Jackson. Developed in partnership with Warner Bros. Consumer Products, The Lego Movie World will be inspired by the characters and themes of blockbuster animated Lego film, a sequel of which will be released in 2019.

On The Lego Movie Masters of Flight, guests will be invited to hop aboard Emmet’s triple decker flying couch! The flying theatre attraction whisks audiences away on an action-packed adventure on a suspended ride with a full-dome virtual screen. Passengers will enjoy the feeling of flying alongside familiar faces and new Lego Movie 2 characters such as Sweet Mayhem. According to a Legoland Florida spokesperson, the media-based attraction will be the first at a major theme park in the United States to include a 180° turn in the ride experience.

Battle of Bricksburg will be an interactive water ride where passengers will be challenged to stop Duplo aliens from invading and stealing Lego bricks by spraying at targets. Meanwhile on Unikitty’s Disco Drop, a family freefall tower, riders will be hoisted to the top of Cloud Cuckoo Land, then drop, spun and bounced back down to earth. The downtown area will also include a space-themed playground structure inspired by Benny’s spaceship.

Guests will be able to finish off the day in downtown Bricksburg, the home of Emmet’s Super Suite, a character meet-and-greet experience, and stock up on Lego Movie merchandise in The Awesome Shop.
But the fun doesn’t stop in the theme park. Families and friends will be able to enjoy the ultimate vacation or slumber party just steps away in a special Lego Movie World at the Legoland Hotel.
