Cedar Fair amusement parks are looking at hiring thousands of members through an online initiative known as ‘National Hiring Day.’

The event is taking place on March 13, 2021.

Cedar Point in Ohio is looking at taking on 6,500 staff through the virtual event. Cedar Fair’s Knott’s Berry Farm in California is wanting to bring 1,700 new employees on board as the park hopes to reopen imminently.

Staff will be hired to operate rides, work in dining outlets, be lifeguards, merchandise sellers, work on park services and more.

Other attraction sites participating in the employment initiative include Carowinds, California’s Great America, Kings Dominion, Dorney Park, Kings Island, Valleyfair, Worlds of Fun, Michigan’s Adventure and Cedar Fair’s two Schlitterbahn waterparks.

The majority of Cedar Fair parks are reopening to the public in May. Cedar Point will be celebrating its 150th anniversary in the 2021 season. Knott’s Berry Farm will be marking its 100th birthday.
