For the first time, Austrian media-based technology innovator Attraktion has implemented its ‘We Robots’ brand to assist with ticket sales.

The company has been working in the field of robotics for several years, having installed robot assistants to guide visitors to shopping malls or large buildings.

Marking a significant development for Attraktion, the Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo at The Dubai Mall have installed a customised version of the robots – called ‘Robo Sharks’ – to sell tickets to visitors.

“The addition of the three interactive robots has contributed significantly to increased ticket sales,” the company said.

“This use case is globally unique so far, and while the market is searching for profitable uses, the fact that everybody loves to interact with Robots is giving them a new vision for further use.”
