An immersive theater of Puy du Fou is to commence a trial operation in Xuhui District this year.
Known as ‘The Saga City of Light,’ guests will journey back in time to 1930s Shanghai.
Lasting around two hours, The Saga City of Light will use innovative technology to recreate scenes from 1930s Shanghai and its guests will be thrusted into the limelight to explore, learn and discover how life was in the bustling city back in the 30’s.
An investment of (US$90.7 million) will fund the attraction and cover, 46,000 sq.m at the west pavilion of Shanghai Everbright Convention & Exhibition Center.
It will feature a theater, themed catering, a cafe, and cultural and entertainment amenities and is expected to attract 1.2 million guests each year.
To bring the film immersion experience to life, more than 150 actors and 50 large-scale film scenes will be welcomed along with 26,000 vintage-style objects.
