The new, highly-awaited immersive rollercoaster centred around the loveable half-giant half-man, Rubeus Hagrid in the Harry Potter stories, is to open on June 13, 2019.

Known as Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure, the rollercoaster puts thrill-seekers right in the middle of one of Hagrid’s infamous Care of Magical Creatures classes.

The class takes place in the recreated Forbidden Forest, a mystical and often forbidden land in the Potter series.

This flamboyantly themed area took two and a half years to complete and replaces the theme park’s Dragon Challenger rollercoaster.

The immersive experience of the ride begins when queuing for the attraction, when riders are greeted with grunts and growls coming for the creatures that accompany the ride, including Cornish pixies, gnomes, centaurs and Fluffy the three-headed dog.

During the journey of the ride, visitors will learn about to care for the hybrid creature, that half scorpion, half crab, known as the blast-ended skrewt.

Guests will travel of speeds up to 50mph, as they encounter Arthur Weasley and Hagrid himself and travel past many iconic Harry Potter artefacts, including castle ruins, signed blankets, broken cages and the ‘Monster Book of Monsters’.

The animated figure of Hagrid is the focal point of the ride and creating it took around two years.

The new rollercoaster is located in the Hogsmeade area of Harry Potter World, a snow-capped wizarding village lined with enchanting taverns, shops and attractions.
