Angry Birds retreat from Thorpe Park

Listen to this article

Angry Birds Land at Thorpe Park will close at the end of the season.

Opening in May 2014, a decade of giving entertainment for the popular game series will come to an end after its license expires.

The decision was taken by Thorpe Park not to continue the agreement to make room for fresh attractions married to a different theme.

“After ten sensational years, the Angry Birds are flying away from Thorpe Park,” commented Thorpe Park.

“The disappearance of Angry Birds Land is giving way to a brand-new installment, which will see the light of day in 2024.”

The park’s 4D cinema will be reimagined during the new season to coincide with the new theme.
