Café transformation at Alton Towers aligned with Nemesis

Listen to this article

A café area at Alton Towers is to undergo a transformation to fit in with Nemesis.

The beloved roller coaster is due to open next year after significant maintenance and aesthetical upgrades.

Merlin Entertainments are understood to be targeting planning permission from Staffordshire Moorlands District Council to make the changes.

A design and access statement submitted as part of the application said: “The proposal is for the installation of a permanent retail unit associated with a re-themed attraction in the revitalized area of Forbidden Valley at Alton Towers.

“The objective has been to provide a new retail building that, along with new theming to the external façades, will refresh the imminent area in line with the retheming of the Nemesis attraction.
