Mack Rides unveiled to the world a revolutionary multi launch water coaster to be installed at Friezeitpark Plohn.

The world’s first water coaster of this type has been announced with a launch date scheduled for 2026.

“This groundbreaking attraction combines roller coaster thrills with splashes and waves,” said a spokesperson for Mack Rides.

“We eagerly anticipate this amazing project alongside the dedicated Völkel family!”

The opening of the ride will coincide with the 30th anniversary of Friezeitpark Plohn.

“The world’s first multi launch water coaster will make its rounds at our leisure park Plohn,” stated the park.

“If you are only half as enthusiastic and anticipating as we are, then our enthusiasm increases immeasurable.

“We dropped the bombshell together with the renowned manufacturer Mack Rides at the IAAPA Expo Europe 2024 in Amsterdam: Because then the contract for a real world first was sealed by our junior boss of the park, Jan Völkel: The world’s first MULTI LAUNCH WATER COASTER will impressively enrich our existing range from 2026,”

Jan Völkel stated that “for our 30th anniversary in 2026, we are giving ourselves and you a very special gift. Anticipation and pride in the major project can be seen in the eyes of those involved when signing the contract.

“With the world’s first Water Coaster with Multi LIM Launch, we are not only fulfilling a dream, but also want to say thank you to our loyal and steadily growing fan base in a very special way. The unique combination of high-tech, water fun and roller coaster does not exist in this form anywhere else in the world.

“The action-packed yet family-friendly orientation of the major attraction will perfectly complement the diverse offer of our park. It is no coincidence that we have once again specifically opted for the familiar partnership with MACK RIDES, and thus for a real ‘Mack product’.”

The MULTI LAUNCH WATER COASTER will ‘catapult’ riders into the water from a standing start and promises exciting curves, lively descents, quick turns and even a second launch with the whole family before diving into the waters one last time with a powerful ‘splash’. With an investment volume of approx. 11.5 million euros, the imposing Water Coaster guarantees multifaceted driving fun on a track length of over 500 metres and with outstanding elements such as a high five zone or the Twisted Airtime Hill.

A completely new driving experience awaits from 2026 and will certainly continue to grow the number of Plohn fans far beyond Saxony’s borders.

“You can also look forward to the planned theming. Here, too, we want to meet our own high standards for an elaborate design of the major attraction and also your expectations, in keeping with the location of the spectacular novelty at the ponds. You can be sure that this extraordinary novelty will also be so elegantly embedded in the park structure that our park will not lose any of its natural charm,” finished Völkel.
