The latest Legoland Resort is taking shape in China as Shanghai awaits the arrival of its own Lego world.
Shanghai Legoland will offer rides and attractions which are unique to its theme park.
It is anticipated that the resort will open next spring or summer of next year.
Shanghai Legoland is expecting to attract between three million and five million tourists a year to the city’s south-western Jinshan district.
The resort, will be operated by Merlin Entertainments and cover an area of 318,000 sq.m. Along with its theme park, a 250-room Lego-themed hotel will be housed.
The creation of Shanghai Legoland in China will add to a growing list of theme parks in the country, with China being the second-largest market for theme parks and proving to be a highly popular market for the leisure industry.
