Six Flags Over Texas postpones the launch of its record-breaking giga dive coaster, with no new date confirmed as commissioning work continues.

Six Flags Over Texas has delayed the public opening of Tormenta Rampaging Run. The B&M-built giga dive coaster had been scheduled to debut on 26 June 2026 — the park’s 65th anniversary — but the park confirmed on 22 June that commissioning and testing are taking longer than expected.

In a social media post, the park stated: “While this means pausing our current opening timeline, it ensures that when Tormenta charges out of the gates, it will be a ride experience worthy of its name — bold, intense, and unforgettable.” No replacement date has been announced. A media preview event scheduled for 25 June was also cancelled.

The ride entered testing on 27 May 2026. Six Flags has not indicated how long further commissioning work will take.
