Universal Destinations & Experiences has revealed that its first horror experience will be called Universal Horror Unleashed.
The creator of the theme parks’ annual Halloween Horror Nights unveils plans to have a permanent attraction located at AREA15 in Las Vegas.
“Universal Horror Unleashed is another way we are using our unique style of horror storytelling to engage fans of this genre,” said Page Thompson, president, New Ventures, Universal Destinations & Experiences.
“We look forward to bringing frightful fun to Las Vegas year-round.”
The venue will cover a 20-acre site of AREA 15, an immersive entertainment district in Las Vegas.
Universal Destinations & Experiences gave further Halloween flavour to what to expect, adding that “a variety of unique, immersive, and horror-centric experiences will surround eerie eateries and bone-chilling bar areas. It will deliver on the thrills Universal’s horror fans have come to love and excite anyone looking for a new level of experiential entertainment.”
The experience will be changed from time to time to encourage repeat visiting and add a new twist as Universal Destinations & Experiences allude: “Guests can expect a continuously updated experience with must-see seasonal events and one-of-a-kind merchandise.”
A year-round horror experience follows on the successes of Halloween Horror Nights, which commenced 32 years ago at the Orlando theme park.
