Vekoma has commenced its Autumn with a flurry of ride launches.
The Dutch ride manufacturers announced “Siren’s Curse”, a Vekoma Tilt Coaster, is set to open next year at Cedar Point.
The Tilt Coaster combines Vekoma’s innovative seesaw track element which reaches 160ft. It features 13 weightless airtime moments, two 360-degree, zero-gravity barrel rolls and a high-speed “triple-down” element with twisted and overbanked track. Its length of track covers 2,966ft in total.
“We could not be more excited to bring this unique coaster design to Cedar Point. Stay tuned for more updates!” stated Vekoma in the statement.
On top of that, Vekoma revealed a new indoor family launch coaster opening at Mandoria theme park in Poland. Known as Aquila, it will reach speeds up to 70 km/h, the 450-meter ride will do a double pass with a second launch on the fly creating a 900-meter ride experience for the whole family.
The ride vehicle was unveiled to a mass of eagerly anticipated spectators which shows a log style decoration with the image of an eagle at the front. There is an ‘M’ on the ride vehicle acknowledging Mandoria theme park. The ride will have comfortable lap bar restraints for riders to enjoy the thrills of Aquila with freedom.
It is scheduled to open in early 2025 with the announcement made at IAAPA Expo Europe held in their native country, The Netherlands.
Vekoma also took advantage to unveil a glitzy new corporate video showcasing its manufacturing operations as the experienced company continues to innovate and energize the leisure industry.
