A new carousel model called ‘drifter’ has been unveiled by Zierer
The new carousel is based on Zierer’s Jet Skis without the water element.
“Even though the ride dynamics seem similar, the experience is very different!” explain Zierer. “The riders are very close to the ground and can manoeuvre their gondola interactively with a lever. With doing this, the gondola can reach up to 21.6km/h (13.4mph). This guarantees fun for young and old alike!”
The Drifter is the newest ride created by Zierer where professional drivers can show off their drifting skills It consists of a total of nine gondolas that rotate around a central decoration on a pavement or concrete underground.
There is one lever within each gondola that the riders can control. As long as the lever stays in its starting position, the wheels of the gondola are fixed and follow the track of the vehicle. As soon as the lever is engaged, the wheels can adjust freely and thus create the drifting effect and an interactive and fun adventure.
