More than three million guests visited Liseberg in 2015 – making the year one of the most successful on record for the Swedish theme park.

Despite the rainy Christmas season, the Gothenburg facility saw revenues reach SEK1bn ($118m), which is on par with “very strong” trading in 2014.

“We had expected to lose visitors because 2014 was such an extraordinary year with the launch of the new roller coaster Helix,” said Liseberg CEO, Andreas Andersen. “[To achieve] the same level in 2015 cannot be called anything other than a success.”
