Sundown Adventure, the fairytale theme park in Nottinghamshire, is to expand its offerings, adding accommodation to enable visitors to stay at the destination overnight.

The park is planning on constructing 66 luxury lodges at its Retford site. The accommodation area will be named Wild Acre Village.

The accommodation expansion of the family-owned theme park has already begun, with the building of a number of cabins. Many of the cabins will feature luxury hot tubs. The theme park expects the cabins to be fully open by February 2022.

Gaynor Corr, owner of Sundown Adventureland, commented on the announcement: “We think our new lodges will provide the perfect solution – a luxurious UK short break, where families can catch up on some much-needed quality time together.

“We really hope these new luxury lodges will offer a memorable yet affordable option for many families, come next year,” Corr added.
