Following the successful launch of the Theme Parks & Entertainment Development Forum Middle East (TPED) in 2015, the event will be back in May, with the event’s organisers promising an even “bigger and better” show.

TPED 2016 takes place at Atlantis The Palm, Dubai on May 22-25. The four-day event features an expanded roster of speakers, who this year include Lennard Francois Otto, chief executive officer for IMG Worlds of Adventure; Ferrari World Abu Dhabi general manager, Jesse Vargas; and Ryan Coffey, director of sales for the host venue’s Marine and Water Park.

A statement from TPED organiser, IQPC, read: “The Middle East leisure and entertainment industry is witnessing an exciting time, as more theme parks are scheduled to open their doors in 2016, namely; IMG Worlds of Adventure and Dubai Parks & Resorts which will initiate intensifying competition in the region.

“Accordingly, it has become crucial for new and existing parks and entertainment developers to develop effective strategic business, guest attraction, marketing and operational models that enables them to achieve a competitive edge and become the destination of choice in the region.”

IQPC added: “Complementing a strong faculty of expert speakers, this inclusion transforms this forum into the most comprehensive event of its kind anywhere in the region.”
