Meow Wolf, the arts and entertainment collective based in Santa Fe, has announced plans to open an immersive art exhibition and music venue and hotel in Phoenix.

The interactive Meow Wolf Phoenix venue is to feature 400 rooms that have been designed to local artists.

The rooms will immerse guests into a “mind-bending narrative world” through a diverse range of themes centred on overnight experiences, such as lavishly luxury suites, hostel environments, capsule rooms, faux-glamping and more.

The venue will feature 75,000 sq. ft. of exhibition space and a 10,000 sq. ft. music and performance space.

Meow Wolf describes the new venture as a hotel and interactive arts venue that will “redefine and reinvigorate the hospitality experience.”

The creative US powerhouse is working in conjunction with developers True North Studio on the Meow Wolf Phoenix project.

Vince Kadlubek, Meow Wolf co-founder and CEO, spoke of the partnership with True North Studio.

“Our partnership with True North Studio in Phoenix is a perfect opportunity to explore this wild concept. Our intention for this venture is to collaborate with the creative community in greater Phoenix to produce an authentic, local statement of expression which will bring further excitement and creative energy to the Roosevelt Row Arts District. This project is going to be truly monumental on so many levels,” said Kadlubek.

The new interactive hotel, arts and entertainment venue is part of Meow Wolf’s ongoing expansion.

Earlier this year the renowned art collective announced it was opening a new location in Washington D.C.
