Europa-Park founder Roland Mack will address delegates at the TEA’s SATE conference when its European edition arrives in Germany this May.

After an event in the UK last spring, SATE Europe will be staged at Europa-Park on Wednesday and Thursday, May 2 and 3. The theme this time is “Industry Landscape: The power of the collective in creating shared experiences that are shaping themed entertainment.” Individual sessions are likely to focus on IP and branding strategies, driving long-term growth, accessibility, solutions through landscaping, security as a driver for change, and technology shaping our future.

The first German chairman of IAAPA, Roland Mack – pictured with here with his IAAPA Hall of Fame award – has won many awards and plaudits in his long career at both Europa-Park and Mack Rides. Together with other family members and old IAAPA friend Chip Cleary, he is currently guiding the development of the ‘second gate’ Rulantica – Water Adventure World project, set to open at Europa-Park in 2019.

SATE, which stands for Story + Architecture + Technology = Experience, is a signature TEA (Themed Entertainment Association) event. The European edition is complemented by separate conferences in the US and Asia. More information here or via the social media hashtag #TEAsate
