In an attempt to reach out to young families, Singapore’s Shangri-La hotel has added a splash park area by Empex Watertoys. BUDS by Shangri-La is set among 15-acres of landscaped gardens and was created together with top landscape architect Playpoint Singapore.
Water-loving hotel guests can enjoy soft water cone jets that shoot out from a series of columns, creating a labyrinth of aquatic fun. A large tipping bucket fills and tips over with a big splash. On the ground, the Aquaseal and Aquaorc provide interactive sprays while pirates in tipping vessels turn and drop water to anticipating children below. Just for the preschool tots, there is a pirate slide, while water-shooters provide endless water battle fun for everyone.
The five-star hotel on Singapore’s Orange Grove Road was the first and flagship Shangri-La property in the group’s worldwide portfolio. Visible to passers-by through the hotel’s glass walls, the shallow water splash park caters to children up to age 12.
