The Park Playground, immersive VR experience specialists, proudly has announced the appointment of Bill Painter as its new Head of Franchise.

Painter will take the reins of a key position that will operate business relating to the firms’ franchise and turnkey VR System towards new international markets.

Painter draws on a wealth of knowledge and expertise in the franchise sector from his previous role at Snap Fitness, a 1,000+ site global fitness brand where he led the expansion of its gym franchise business to open more than 30 UK and Ireland locations from 2020 to 2023.

Working closely with the senior leadership team, Painter will play a crucial role in Park Playground’s international expansion strategy through strengthening The Park’s presence in the UK market and replicating the success of its franchise model and turnkey solution already achieved in Europe, into new markets in Western Europe and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).

The Park Playground added that Painter will lead in identifying new opportunities, fostering strategic partnerships, and most importantly, ensuring seamless operations for new and existing franchise owners.

“I’m thrilled to join The Park Playground and looking forward to working closely with our franchise owners. The Park’s franchise model and turnkey solutions bring huge benefits for brands looking for a profitable way to diversify their entertainment portfolios and attract broader audiences,” said Painter.

“The Park provides ongoing support throughout the process, both onsite and virtually following installation. I’m looking forward to forging new partnerships and helping to steer the company through its next chapter of growth and innovation.”

“With a strong presence across Europe and a growing market in the UK, Bill joins us at a really exciting time as we are poised to continue our rapid growth,” said CEO of The Park Playground Peter Vindevogel.

“The success and prosperity of our franchise and VR System solution owners is a priority. With the strategic appointment of Bill, we are making a commitment to maximizing return on investment for our valued partners.”

The Park’s new turnkey VR System solution was launched this year and has been adopted by one of Centre Parcs’ top Germany locations, Park Hochsauerland, adding several family-first immersive entertainment experiences to its portfolio.
