Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter, has announced its annual festive event ‘Hogwarts in the Snow’ is returning this year.

A novel feature to this year’s show will be the dousing of filmmakers’ snow on the cobbled stones and on the festive shop fronts of Diagon Alley.

The fake-snow techniques were deployed by filmmakers earlier in the year to carpet Diagon Alley in different types of ‘snow’. The Hogwarts Castle model will also be covered in snow, as it was during filmmaking when granulated paper and salt were sprinkled onto the model castle through a hand sieve.

The Great Hall will be adorned in festive garlands, wreaths and trees decorated with witches on miniature broomsticks.

The dining tables will mimic the way they were dressed for the festive feast that featured in ‘Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone.’

Another highlight will be the Gryffindor Common Room and Boys’ Dormitory, which will showcase original props from the film. The props will include the handmade Christmas card, some of which were made by members of cast during production.

The Hogwarts in the Snow event is being held from November 14, 2020, until January 17, 2021.
