Super Nintendo World is heading to the skies as the world’s first plane decked in the loveably game livery has been revealed.

Spirit Airlines and Universal Studios Hollywood have teamed up to adorn the Airbus A320-271N in its iconic logo.

Its maiden flight took off from Detroit Metro Airport (DTW) Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood Airport (FLL) at 05:40 local time on 21st February, landing n Fort Lauderdale at 07:55.

Spirit Airlines has confirmed that it will fly the plane up until May 2024, from 20 US cities to Los Angeles Airport (LAX) enroute to Universal Studios Hollywood.

With the one-year anniversary on the horizon of Super Nintendo World opening at the Hollywood theme park, the partnership further heightens the image of Mario and his esteemed friends.
