Gröna Lund, in Stockholm, Sweden can celebrate good news with the green light confirmation to construct over land where a current car park exists.

Recently, The Land and Environmental Court of Appeal in the capital city gave the go ahead for Gröna Lund to utilise the land where currently a car park sits and expand the amusement park.

It has been a long running battle between the park and the council to arrive to this outcome – an outcome six-years in the making.

Johan Tidstrand, owner of Gröna Lund, explained his delight at the closure of this case: “I am very relieved and happy with today’s message. Now we can finally realize the dream of a combined amusement park on both sides of Allmänna Grand. It is a historic day for both Gröna Lund and Stockholm.”
