Super Nintendo World Singapore confirmed as Resorts World Sentosa expansion moves forward

Singapore has officially confirmed that Super Nintendo World Singapore will open at Universal Studios Singapore, ending years of speculation over the highly anticipated themed land.

The confirmation came as the Sentosa Development Corporation (SDC) unveiled the latest phase of its Greater Sentosa Master Plan on 3 July 2026. The announcement places Super Nintendo World among a series of flagship attractions intended to strengthen Resorts World Sentosa’s position as one of Asia’s leading integrated resort destinations.

The attraction will form part of the wider Resorts World Sentosa (RWS) 2.0 redevelopment programme, a multi-billion-dollar investment that also includes the recently opened Minion Land, the new Singapore Oceanarium and the resort’s future Waterfront Lifestyle Development, which is scheduled for completion in 2030.

Although Universal Destinations & Experiences announced several years ago that Singapore would eventually receive a Super Nintendo World, this is the clearest official confirmation that the land remains firmly within the current expansion programme. The Sentosa Development Corporation’s announcement specifically lists ‘immersive SUPER NINTENDO WORLD at Universal Studios Singapore‘ among the destination’s forthcoming experiences.

No opening date has yet been announced, and Resorts World Sentosa has not revealed attraction details, ride line-up or the size of the development.

For the attractions industry, the confirmation reinforces Singapore’s commitment to continued investment in destination tourism. Alongside new hotels, public spaces and transport infrastructure, Universal Studios Singapore continues to expand its portfolio of globally recognised intellectual properties, strengthening its competitive position within the Asia-Pacific market.

The announcement also forms part of the broader Greater Sentosa Master Plan, which will integrate neighbouring Brani Island into the resort over the coming decades. Plans include new attractions, hotels, reimagined beaches, nature-based experiences and additional leisure developments designed to significantly increase visitor capacity. Officials expect the expanded destination to attract around twice as many visitors once the long-term programme is complete.
