MK Themed Attractions, providers of themed solutions for theme parks, festivals and other visitor attractions, helped Tivoli Friheden amusement park in Denmark increase visitor number by 45 per cent during the summer.

The boost in visitor numbers was achieved by the implementation of a never-seen-before Flower Festival at the Danish theme park.

The Flower Festival was a huge success and will be repeated at Tivoli Friheden in 2021 and 2022. The festival featured sculptures designed by MK Themed Attractions, inspired by climate change and a passion for history.

The sculptures included two talking trees, which were designed with the help of MK Themed Attractions’ sister company, Creation Group.

Creation Group has been creating animatronic figures for over 50 years. The trees were activated through a push button, which, when activated, told stories about the park.

A statue of Mother Earth took centre stage, whose hair was made of ivy and flowers. All the sculptures were accompanied with a description providing visitors with insight into the designs.

Morten Palm Andersen, sales and marketing manager at MK Themed Attractions, commented on the success of the Flower Festival: “I’m pleased at how well the new season has been received by our visitors. Actually, we had so many visitors during the summer that we made a record in July, where we had the pleasure of 114,000 guests.”
