Old Western-themed attraction Knott’s Berry Farm has announced the opening of a new Build-A-Bear Workshop at their site in Buena Park, California. The store will be open to visitors from January 28 and is part of the theme park’s 100th anniversary celebrations.

Build-A-Bear Workshops let their customers design and custom-build their own teddy bears and stuffed animals via an interactive process in which the soft toy is assembled and tailored to their own preferences while they wait. They are America’s biggest retailer operating with this business model and have stores all over the world.

The new store will be located in the California Market Place area of the park and will feature special Wild West-themed options during the toy creation process, including cowboy and cowgirl apparel and old timey train conductor costumes. There will also be other unique custom options tied-in to Knott’s five Seasons of Fun events. These include a special commemoration of the classic Peanuts comic, a boysenberry food and drink festival during the spring, a summer Wild West ghost town and a spooky farm during Halloween. There will also be a special Merry Farm Christmas celebration at the end of the year.

The opening day of the new store will have limited edition t-shirts available as well as a themed photo-op in front of the store so families can take pictures to celebrate their visit.
