The New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation has filed a request for proposals (RFP) as it seeks a partner to continue the operation of the Niagara Adventure Theatre at Niagara Falls State Park.

“There is no mandate that the space continue to operate as a traditional theatre as new and innovative ideas are welcome,” the group stated in its request for proposals.

“The term is three years, with the option to extend for two additional years commencing approximately January 2017 and terminating December 2019.”

Niagara Falls State Park is the oldest state park in the US and hosts over eight million visitors a year.

The theatre currently shows a movie based on the legends and myths of Niagara Falls, but the RFP encourages “creative suggestions” for the space.
